Assisted Suicide: Should Patients have the right to decide their own fate?

Currently, assisted suicide and euthanasia are illegal in Canada. It is the job of the doctor to save lives, but should it be their job to assist in taking away that life as well? How could assisted suicide change the medical society of our country? Can the controversy of ethics be solved when every human has their own thoughts and beliefs?
